ARRB has a lot of brochures and covers a vast amount of research areas within the transport industry. A summary of these capabilities needed to be put into a brochure that would showcase at our exhibition stand for the 2nd International Driverless Vehicle Summit, which was held in Adelaide, 2017.
This is a project I had long been wanting to do, but due to other work requirements, was never able to get around too. So it was perfect that with our new Team Leader seeing this gap as well, we were able to develop the brochure in a very short turn around.
With less than 2 weeks till the Summit, and the need to still go to print for the brochures, I based the flow of content on a similar job, completed by our new Team Lead from his previous company. With that framework to base things on, it was quick for me to pull the necessary information from various sources and tweak it to read as a singular document.
The design of the template was outsourced to a previously used freelancer, who based her work on a flyer I had made previously (ARRB Strategic Plan). I then tweaked the overall design to ensure all the necessary elements were included.
Together with a great printer, I then arranged that this brochure, and the preliminary programs for our upcoming conferences in 2018, were all printed and provided in time for our exhibition in Adelaide.
The brochure has been a hit externally and internally with many stakeholders appreciating the compact size and summary of information, making it much easier and clearer for them on what services ARRB can provide.
