ARRB has a lot of brochures and covers a vast amount of research areas within the transport industry. A summary of these capabilities needed to be put into a brochure that would showcase at our exhibition stand for the 2nd International Driverless Vehicle Summit, which was held in Adelaide, 2017. The brief This is a […]

With a new CEO brought in lots of new changes and the website was first on the hit list. Although a skin redesign had been in the last year, the site was in desperate need of a proper rebuild. With the introduction of the entire company going onto a new CRM and that all systems […]

Over the years I have been active for companies on social media, posting up about events, EDM’s that have gone out, reminders for competitions and various other activities to increase readership of the website and subscriptions to newsletters/EDM’s. I have actively posted on social media for: DubaiKidz.biz – Facebook ARRB.com.au – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn ADVI.org.au […]

I was asked to produce a new recruitment video that would convey the current employee satisfaction and diversity of roles that is available to the Researchers and Scientists at the Australian Road Research Board. The aim was to entice the brightest and best in their fields to come and help ‘Shape our transport future.’ The […]

EDM’s have become a steadfast way that business communicates on-mass with their clients, yet making it seem that the email was individually tailored. Upon my arrival at ARRB, I saw that they were using many forms to try and achieve this, making the task all that much harder. I suggested usingĀ MailChimp, where we would have […]

ARRB formed the Australian Driverless Vehicle Initiative (ADVI) and required to start it up as an entity on its own. The initial logo was produced by myself, with strong direction from management and a website and various other bits of collateral were produced to help launch ADVI. The site was produced in WordPress in a […]

Ever since my days in London, where I worked as part of DTP pools for large financial institutes, formatting all Word, Powerpoint and Excel documents to suit the relevant brand, I have created Microsoft templates for companies. We all know that the daily work for any company happens in Microsoft and that branding needs to […]

Our department was requested to design a website for the National Asset Centre of Excellence (NACOE) in Queensland. This was a partnership that was put together with ARRB and the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR). I put forward to have the site designed in WordPress, for easy integration with many systems and […]

Upon my arrival at ARRB I noticed that they did not have a substantial style guide for their branding. I took it upon myself to develop a Visual Style Guide (VSG) that could be used when dealing across the company and with 3rd party contractors who might work on collateralĀ for the brand. Attached is the […]

Working for a Real Estate Agency again, was fun and fast-paced, which I loved. Even though my time at Luton was short due to having to move, I was able to help them implement new designs with their listings layouts, create teaser ads and copy for the opening of the 8th branch and in general […]

I was approached by my GP to assist his wife in setting up a website for the nursery she had started in Dubai. I was happy to help with this project as I got to mix my love of children and design. The site displayed bright pink and blue, which was their branding colours. I […]

To help launch my freelancing in Dubai, I approached the founder of the DubaiKidz.biz website (now uae4kidz.biz), Petra Sander and offered to redo her, then very basic HTML, site into a CMS with a template offering a better UX for the thousands of users that were coming to her site, in exchange for referrals to […]

Working in conjunction with the Marketing Department, this brochure was produced and put into the Accenture Brand Audit. It received Best Practice ranking, which is highly esteemed within Accenture. My idea of using the African animals to help depict the services available was well received. View PDF

The Marketing Department wanted a calendar produced as a handout for clients and at their Graduate Recruitment drive. I produced this on-brand Tiger Woods (at the time the brand ambassador for Accenture), which had to not only be approved by Accenture Branding at Headquarters in America but by the Tiger Woods Foundation as well. It […]

This flyer was created using the Accenture branding. The original document received was a PowerPoint presentation with not much to go by. The client was very happy with the final product, which was turned around in a very short space of time. View PDF

Being the Creative Director for 3 in-flight magazines (all 3 national carriers) it was my duty to setup the timeline for all activities, from advertising, editorial, design and printing to ensure the magazines made their monthly deliveries to the airport. It was also my responsibility to lay the magazine out and ensure all articles were […]

While working at an ad studio in Pretoria, South Africa, I updated the company logo to something more modern and colourful and implemented the design across the corporate stationary. It was well received by clients.

Part of a college exercise, we had to develop our own personal logo. My surname was Combrinck at the time, so AC was my initials. The design is clean, bold and interchangeable with bright coloured backgrounds. Still relevant today as it was back then. A good branding exercise.
